At Southbank Montessori we are committed to providing an environment where children
aged 18 months to 5 years can develop and learn at their own pace, free from competition.

The environment is specifically designed to enable children to learn, staffed by experienced Montessori trained educators. At Southbank Montessori, we combine the benefit of a Montessori education with convenient hours and cost effective services to enable working families to give their child the best start in life. Our services are split between two premises, Berwick Street and Basinghall Street, which cater to different age groups.

“Our son started in SBM in late January 2023, in a full time basis. He was 22.5 mo and it was his first time in daycare ever.

We must say that we are more than happy and greatfull with all the staff in SBM, they have not only the skills but, the heart on all the children’s care. When our son started, he was a bit shy and within a month he became an extrovert and very social boy… probably it’s his personality but definitely the interaction with the other kids at the center and educators guidence, helped.

One of the things that we have noticed the most it’s how well he plays with other kids, he is not selfish with his belongs and most of the time he is calm and well mannered, without necessity of been told. We believe that the Montessori philosophy has a great impact in children’s development, we are witness of it and we are very pleased by knowing that our son is in good hands.

Another aspect that we will like to point out is the care that the staff put in us, the parents, by knowing how difficult it was to leave our son the first couple of weeks, their recomforting words really helped our peace of mind.”
